Combination convector electric storage heaters, also eligible for installation under the ECO scheme, operate on the same principle. They include an additional convector heater which provides an alternative heat source or boost to the existing available energy.
‘Economy 7’ tariffs are where utility companies provide cheaper electricity at off-peak times, i.e. during the 7 hours of nighttime when energy is typically less in demand. Economy 7 storage heaters grants require a specialised meter that tracks when energy has been used
