HOW DO I KNOW IF I HAVE SOLID WALLS?

One of the quickest ways to determine if you live in a solid wall property is by checking when the property was built. As a generally rule, properties built before the 1930’s are more likely to have solid walls, and therefore do not have a cavity. Other methods of finding out include looking at the brickwork pattern; where a continuous full brick followed by a half brick suggests your walls are of solid construction.

WILL I LOSE INTERIOR SPACE?

Installing an internal wall insulation system includes an insulation-backed plasterboard, a vapour membrane, and a plaster finish on top. The total thickness of the system depends on the product being used but will be in the region of 60mm to 100mm. Therefore, you will lose some interior space.
